The artichoke pesto is a delicious sauce based on artichoke hearts grown in Puglia. It is a cream with an intense but delicate flavor, prepared with the typical ingredients of Genovese pesto, with the difference that, instead of basil, there are artichokes. Artichoke cream has a soft taste and is a great way to make children eat the artichokes, vegetables famous for their beneficial properties for the liver.

Its versatility in the kitchen makes artichoke pesto a good ally to save an unexpected lunch or dinner. It is recommended for seasoning pasta, lasagna, risotto and rice salads, excellent for stuffing piadinas, rustic pies, rolls and also to flavor bruschetta and omelettes.

The artichokes used for the preparation of the pesto, once collected, are washed, blanched and chopped, with the addition of other ingredients such as extra virgin olive oil and parsley. As soon as the pesto is ready it's packaged in jars, which are then pasteurized and labeled.

Once opened, the artichoke pesto should be kept in a cool and dry place, covered with a layer of oil. Consume preferably before the expiry date shown on the package.
